Gratz on the purchase! I love my 2.7! It has almost 100k on it and still running like a champ! However you really couldn't have picked wrong here! It is a Tacoma either way :)

Good buy. By my logic, the only reason to buy a Taco is for the 4 banger. The V6 is priced so close to the full size trucks and it gets about the same MPGs. If your going to spend $27k on a truck with 4 doors and can town 7k pounds, buy a Silverado.

When I drove the 2.7 back to back with the V6, I hated how the v6 drove. It hung onto revs way too much after shifting.

I would have bought another 4 cyl, if they had a 4X4 w/automatic.... Enjoy your new truck!

Ok So i've gone through my first 2 tanks of gas. So far I really am impressed by the truck. Very smooth, very comfortable. I love the interior and everything seems pretty functional. Bike fits in the back on an angle perfectly. My first tank was 50% City and I got 19.5mpg. Today I did a long highway trip at 65mph and I got 22mpg, which I was kind of disappointed about. I was hoping for better mileage, but whatever. I'm still happy.

Calculated on what size gallon? You also should factor in the odo is optimistic by 4%, and the speedo is optimistic by 6%

3.8L, metric gallon. I realize it would be higher with imperial gallon

Thats pretty decent mileage, and about what you can expect to get. I found I got 21ish highway, and 23ish in city, yes, better in the city....weird. (09 AC 4 cyl 4X4)
I think you mean US gallon, btw:)

Ahhhh the old 4cyl vs the 6cyl. Both good motors Im glad we have a choice. I know when I redline my 4banger in 3rd gear I can hit 90mph! The Phillpino mechanics in the AOR undo the rev limiters some how and those things are crazy fast. Tried to blow a few of them up with no luck LOL.
