What gear ratio are you running in those axles?

We pretty much have the same axles, tires, beadlocks, etc and I run 5.38s.

So I’m just going to run this by you:

Why not run a SC on the 3.4, seventh injector, and a tune? Run some 2000 Tacoma exhaust manifolds, good exhaust from dirty deeds industries, and swap in a manual transmission.

I may have owned a 2000 SC Taco, URD fuel system, 5 spd, and that flippen truck would outrun my tuned A4 up to 85 mph. 300+ hp and a light, aluminum V6 that is easy to smog is a good thing.

Yeah I watch cleetus' vids. That run blew the engine BTW

Four cams that weren't cheap, 2 heads that weren't cheap, a blower that wasn't cheap. Ford's coyote is an expensive bitch to make power with. A Holley injection system and fuel injectors. Intercoolers.... That engine had a lot of work to get where it was and none of it was as cheap as an LS

Yep James killed it with the nitrous hit !!!

Can't wait to see what the new motor will do !!

Did you see the dyno #'s from the auction Corvette?? , very impressive #'s for a 200k mile old LS1 truck engine !!!!

I've always though tacomas should have a V8 option such as the 4.6 or 4.7. They're tested and proven and not too big. So I vote yota IF you go full swap.

Alternative thought though .If the idea with all the awesomeness of gears, solid axles and lockers I assume you want some off road torque. Why not go with a taco box Marlin crawler????

And of course the supersharger just sounds cool...

@famof5taco it does have dual cases. It still a dog on the freeway, plus I would like to tow my boat to the lake every now and then. as it sits now, I get 10MPG. :(

Fair enough. Super sweet truck though .I'll maintain my vote for the Toyota motor. I've had one and put miles on another (family Vic) and they pull a ton and are bulletproof. Good luck sir.

Manual V8 from Lexus or Toyota will need an adapter plate of some sort.
