    LOL

But on the serious side, that is just because you haven't connected to your passions.

Test - You are dog tired and can't keep your eyes open. It's 11pm. Your phone rings... Tomorrow you are going to do [your favorite activity] with no cost to you. [Your idea of the most beautiful girl] can't wait to see you there and afterwards she want's to do a jacuzzi and she can't stand wearing clothes! She has strongly hinted that she likes to give BJs as the sun rises. Afterwards she wants to buy you a sports car and [some of your favorite toys].

She'll be by to pick you up at 4:45 am.

Will you be able to get up?

When you are connnected - you would be surprised what you can do!:D

I hate to break it to ya, but once you get going in a career, you'd better start being a morning person lol.

... and stop drinking that bong water! ;) It is not conducive to waking up at all - never mind early!

I hate to revive this thread but curious what OP ended up doing?

I've been looking into full sail and googled TW for it and this is the only thread I found...

I have a nephew that graduated from Full Sail and is working in the field he went to school for...LOVES IT and he even took a "hint" from his uncle and doubled up with a CDL A, he now drives the show to location, then sets-up..hangs out with great bands...then gets to break it down and transport it home...;)

Dam school must have something going for it because my youngest nephew just enrolled for a communication based career there also....this ones from my wifes side BUT a Full Sail diploma just about guarantees you working in your field straight out.....

They are in Winter Park Florida and only draw-back ( not a biggie) is that school housing is just rental units around the area...

Hope that helps you folks joining this party late...

Welder or Lineman. Both you are going to make upwards of 60k+ and much more. Lineman is sketchy but you make great dough and you will be long enough (Double time) that you can get that gf off your back for a while :) If I hadn't gone to school that's what I would have done. Typically its like 3mo on and 2 off or something like that.

Quality Welders are in short supply. You might have to move but if you are good you will make SERIOUS dough.

Both will take some apprenticeships but do able and not nearly as much as college would be. You will have to learn some metallurgy for welding and some serious electrical for a lineman.

Other than that learn how to write databases (SQL) and write your own ticket. We are in the age of big data lots of potential there. Check out GIS, that's some of what I do and it can be cool.

Consider yourself lucky that you did not get into Full Sail. You just save yourself $150,000. No crap I am from Orlando and knew ppl that graduated from there and owed that much and couldn't get a job.

FYI - UCF is aka "U CANT FINISH". I do not know one person that went there and actually enjoyed it let alone finished.

Go check out Rollins College, my alma :). It can seem pricey but if you want a real edumacation its tops and there is TONS of financial aid. Look at the Holt School. PM me if you need a contact.

Other than that sell dope and get a new gf ;).

Full Sail is a rip IMO. ^^ He is a roadie ^^ Absolutely nothing wrong with that and well on you for giving him the backup plan, but idk if $100,000 education is worth being a roadie. Next time you see him ask him how much it cost him to go there. Its also not accredited last time I checked. If why you cant get Fed financial aid and the OP needed a "Co-Signer".

WTF, no where near 100k...you kidding me....not sure where that came from...My brother made out better than I did putting my daughter through UVM and we were not anywhere near that....

Sisters son is going in on "Military family" and I don't think "Uncle' is that generous either...

The "roadie" is his 2nd...engineer is 1st....he helps "lump" but he is the one that makes the "music" or gets his head handed too him if they don't..;)

Plus he loves the challenge of putting a 45-48' electronics trailer into some of these venues.....Boston can be blind-sided now and why the company "trust" an engineer with that "hot-load"..

Deal direct schools almost always NEED a co-signor...I went out to Wyoming Tech and they still wanted Dads "sig" even though the "Note" was mine...not really accredited BUT the DAM best Diesel school in the country....

Sorry, anyone spending that kind of $$$$$ and not looking/prepping for the real world BEFORE graduation is a few steps behind ....

It truly comes down to what was said 2-3 pages back...Find something you like and make a career out of it....I liked "wrenching" and made DAM good $$$ at it BUT LOVE driving...Still make the Good $$$ and enjoy going to work..

    LIFE IS GOOD....

As I said I grew up there and had a few friends that went there and more than a few look into it. I even worked for them as a subcontractor for a bit and got to know some of the admin staff. They all said the same thing. Classes were hard to get had to pay tuition even if they could only take one course at a time (others they needed only offered once a blue moon). It was WAY over priced and the one that actually graduated from there had upwards of 80k in loans idk what for, but that was the story I got. Couldnt find a job either (audio engineer). Maybe its more reasonable now but I doubt it. Glad your nephew is doing well I would just advise a VERY CLOSE look at the real costs of going to school there and actually graduating on time.

Not a problem...lived down there also..over in Clermont for 8 years..wife has family scatterd all over Volusia county.....and lived with "Disney folks"...that is where the "hurt" is in that industry...both guys & girls were stressed to the Max before the SLOW DOWN...Over 1/2 of our old neighbors have moved on, most out of state to alleviate that stress and have found better positions still in career...

Being a "fast track" school it does take some "work" to get your schedule set-up...Jason started a semester late BUT finished in his 20+ months and came back up here to "Jump" right in...

Youngest just came back from a visit and only problem they found was housing ...to "null" that, baby sis will probably invest in a townhouse for his tenure then vacation it or flip it......
