Adding onto that, I think it might look pretty sharp in a clear coat after being sandblasted. Just a thought :)

No mud flaps, plasti dipped emblems, and rear bumper, Weather tech digital fit, Bed mat from tractor supply. Pioneer 4400BH head unit. B.A.M.F bed rail tie downs. AVS vent visors.
step looks nice! only think i would change is make it a bit wider. (kind for looks and protection from people that like to pull in parking spaces to far. lol) i like the size of the one Avid off road makes. its about the size of the hole step part on the stock bumper.

Any chance you could do a Tailgate cap? Like the plastic one we have, but just so that it sits on top of that one? The plastic one gets torn to shreads if you use your truck like a work truck. Mine right now is down to the metal and I have to buy yet another one.

If you do end up making a Tail gate cap... put me up for buying one. :D

It would be something like this... pay no attention to my horrible paint skills...

    Tailgatecappaint_b3245f3075476670a3fff2e61b40dff90293451d.jpg

It would be folded 2 times. Once to go over the top, then to go slightly down the outside, without actually touching the Tailgate.

It would also have the holes to mount with the same screws the factory one mounts with, just to put it on top of it.

Im actually about to get this done with a steel corp here in PR, hence why I was so specific...

Taco- I see what you mean about the width, I like the idea so I'll probably roll with that on the next ones I make.

-Liquid- sent you a pm earlier

Tech- Buy away! And I appreciate the vacation offer... Throw free beer in there and I'd be half tempted to make the trip!

I've been thinking about the 5 Lug skids for awhile. Is the difference in the 5 and 6 lug that the 6 lug comes with the mounting brackets for the stock toyota skid? If so, I think they can be purchased seperately. However if there are other threaded holes I can work off of, I'd be happy to make a skid. I just need one to crawl under and pull some measurements.

I'd be interested in the receiver hitch step for the right price. I also second the idea of liking the Avid Off-Road version, but I realize you have to make the best use of material. Keep us posted.

Fortunately, there is plenty of room on the plate to make these wider. I'll edit the drawing and work up a price over the weekend.

I finally have the parts I need for the 2nd version of my step. I have extended it to be as wide as the opening for you guys looking for something wider. I'll weld it up and get some pics posted of the unfinished version.

It looks like I can sell the steps for 75 bucks including a Powdercoat. I've looked up other steps and I think this is a competitive price. Any interest out there for the step? I may be a little biased because I made it, but I love having mine on my truck

I could do that, are you thinking about using the treadplate for the side pieces?

I could easily work up some skids, I'll do it if I can get some interest for orders
