    Hello All,
I have a 99 tacoma SR5 2.7L extended cab automatic 4x4. My ignition has intermentant problems. I go to turn the truck off with the transmission in P and the key will not turn past the ACC position. Have tried the usual ideas of pressing the break etc. To add to the equation, the truck can be off with the hey out of the ignition and can be taken out of P with out applying the break. ANY IDEAS?! Been trying to figure this one out.

Sounds like your ignition switch needs replaced.
