I am installing the filler piece below the headlight on 13 tacoma. I see that the one said snaps into the the finder, but on the other side going toward the grill I think I missing a retainer clip of some kind because there is no where for it to snap into. Please help if you know what I need. The parts guy at toyota didnt seem to understand. I can take pictures if needed.

Try this for size... this is for an '09.

Edit: part "52523A" is the retainer for the filler piece, part number 53935-04020.

I believe that is the one on the side that hooks to the fender. I have that one. I need what part 52161-02020 snaps into. I looked on the bumper and grill and I dont see anywhere it would attach to thats why I thought maybe there was some kind of retainer clip that I am missing.

Ok this might help, the first pic is what I am working with. On the second pic you can see the little square cut out in the metal bracket. I am thinking a plastic clip goes into that which then I can clip my filler into it. If I am way off here please someone tell me I am barking up the wrong tree.

Did I confuse everyone more? Does anyone know what i need to make this work. I see 12-13 with off-road bumpers so i know its possible to put these on without the stock bumper. Any ideas?

    Try 52531-04010.

I found this on ToyoDIY.com. I could only select model year 2011.

See attached diagrams (again, for 2011). Looks like the part you highlighted with red arrows is 52531-04010.

'12 and newer use different parts on the front. All that stuff around the headlights and bumper is different than yours.

Use whatever site your linking, but type in '13 for the year.

I can't. It only provides parts reference for up to and including 2011.

I did a quick search for that part and found this, a listing for the 2013 model year: http://www.midatlantictoyotaparts.c...ents/upper-retainer-retainer-left/52531-04010

Also see item 8 here: http://www.riverviewtoyotascionpart...0l-v6-gas/body-hardware/bumper-and-components. Same part number for left and right side.

Is a new hood latch required for the conversion?
