Last weekend I found a thread that had several pictures of various member's timing-chain tensioners as viewed through that little plate.
The thread was a guy who was tracking down a leak, but there was a discussion about (with pictures) of the tensioner and when its been extended to its limit.

I've been looking for a half hour, I can't seem to find it. Any help pointing me to that thread again?
I want to see how far the tensioner will extend. Or how far it'll go. Mine is showing 4 of those little rings on it.

No this one had actual photographs and there was a discussion about those rings that appear each time it comes out a notch.
One fella had picture of his and it was way out and he said it was fine. I wanted to see that pic and compare it to what I'm looking at.
