    Hi All,
Stumbled across this site while trying to track down a part number for my water pump and thought I'd sign up and see if someone here could help out. I have a 2005 Tacoma with the 1GR-FE V6 engine. I'm in the middle of replacing the water pump that was leaking and wanted to replace all the bolts while I'm at it, as they are fairly corroded. Every parts diagram I can find shows part numbers for the 10mm bolts (labeled 1 & 2 on the drawing), but not the 12mm bolts.

I went into my local Toyota dealer where the parts counter guy declared "I have no idea" after 15 minutes of searching around his computer and the back room. Much digging online has yet to turn up a diagram showing the part numbers for those bolts. Anyone know what the part number is?

Also, I've seen a few videos online where they talk about there being a sealant of some type on two of the #12 bolts, but can't find any info on what to use. The parts guy at Toyota was again no help. The stuff on the old bolts is definitely lock thread lock. More of a silicone looking material. Any ideas?

Very cool. I'll check at the dealer and see if they match up. Thanks for the help!

I didn't see any mention of it either, but when I removed the bolts, a few of them had a silicone like good on the threads. I also saw a really good video on Youtube of a guy walking through replacing the water pump on my year truck (which has been super helpful) and he mentioned that a few of the bolts had a sealant on it as well. I picked up some stuff at the auto parts store for making gaskets on water pumps, that is supposed to be "coolant resistant". Hopefully that works ok.
