    Thanks @caribe makaira

Just to be clear for future members that want to do this.

You need to De-pin the OEM Tacoma plug and pin it to the FJ plug.
Or cut the existing Tacoma plug off, and splice all the wires to the FJ plug.

    Is this correct?

    Yes - de-pin
    No - cut

so quick question since were talk about re-pinning. how do you repin a push button atrac(no led) switch to do the opposite. push(in) to off and push(out) for on?

The internals would not allow that. Re- pin is removal of the terminals in the connector to the switch.
For your issue, you'd add a 5 pin relay to intercept the circuit you want OFF when you depress the switch. This switch would "break" the connection of the intercepted wire.
    5 pin relay would be:
    30 from circuit
    87a to circuit
    87 capped (off feature)
    86 fused ignition source
    85 to switch

Switch gets wire from relay pin 85, other side of switch to ground.
When switch is pressed it close coil on relay, relay switches from ON to OFF ( 30 to 87a turns to 30 to 87, 87 is not connected to anything so it's OFF)
