Hello. I currently have my tacoma lifted about 1.5 inches infront more than the back. so it looks like its loaded all the time. I added a leaf in the back an it raised it slightly. I was thinking of added a block underneath but I also notice the brake line thats in the center of the axel going to both sides of the axel is really stressed out and i dont think i can manage to put a block under it and not fold it. Its a metal brake line. I was wondering if anyone extended the brake line? and if so what size diameter should i look for and how do i put it together? thanks ! :)

Its the rubber brake hose that is connected to the axel then turns into metal tubes. the one that connects in the center bottom of the second photo
i cant bring the axel down much more before it feels like it will rip out. By the way. sorry about the dirty pics. Too much salt in these chicago roads :)

They make longer brake lines specifically for what you need. Cant remember off the top of my head where I got mine. Check some online 4x4 places. Should find it pretty easy. Probably run you about $20 to $30.

Sweet! Thanks a lot you guys. I had so much trouble looking for it. I asked autozone too and they don't know what part I needed. Thanks again. That red one looks sweet for contrast.

the auto store don't carry the extended. you could always buy the same one and have a very long extended line. someone did this and used a spring to keep the slack above everything

as an alternative. go to either carquest/advance auto or napa and ask them to check their spec books for something thats a few inches longer. they should be able to get SOMETHING the same day or the following morning. you wont get this kind of stuff at vatozone or o'reillys

thanks guys. I will be doing a replacement of the rear axle seals because I notice in the snow when i brake hard the front tires do lock and the rear tires dont. Then I noticed in the rear there is a lot of grease on the rim walls that completely destroyed the paint off the wheel. I bought some new black trd rims and wheels and Im not about to put them on before I replace the seals. I will have to replace the axle fluid as well. By the way the truck has over 300k on it. I dont think it had the seals replaced at all. Any ways I will make a thread and post some juicy photos of the dismanteling and ree building it again in case anyone is interested in doing it. Cheers.
