need help...good head scratcher!

    I too would have the battery checked, if its ok then I would re check all connections It may be a starter solenoid beginning to fail....:cool:

    does your truck have an alarm? especially a half assed aftermarket installed in a driveway for a 12 pack of beer alarm? My buddy does car audio-alarms for a living, cant tell you how many times he gets a car in that wont start due to improper install of alarms just a thought good luck

    ah HA!!! Good point! Recently had a friend with a celica that had the same issue. Replaced a bunch of starters, only to find the alarm was the issue.

    you srarter silinoid (or however you spell it) is about to go
    you will have to replace the entire starter
    same thing was happing to me a month ago and i replaced the starter and its been fine ever since

    Grillecraft grill w/ TRD badge, Bilstein 5100s on all 4 corners set at 2.5" and Toytec AAL in the rear. 285/75-17 Interco TRXUS M/T
    well its gone all weekend without one mis-hap. there is no alarm, but i was aware of that kind of issue. im thinking it could possibly be the soleniod or the contacts, but i wouldnt replace each piece, just do the whole starter. di would have to have it out o do the other things individually anyways, might as well just replace it. if i happens again i will probably get that re-man from autozone. it had a lifetime warranty on it anyways. thanks for all the help guys!!!!
