Hey guys need a little help. I went to the beach for some surf fishing. I ran into some very soft sand and my 2018 offroad started hopping, not alot but enough to cause my truck to have a vibraton once i got to the pavement. It is not a tire out of balance cause i i ve rotated them. Could i have damaged a shock or worse? I does not ride as smooth, i can feel every bump and imperfection in the road. I pushed down on each corner of the truck to see if it bounced which it did go up and down a couple of times, i only have 26000 miles. Could the bouncing cause damage to the shock? I saw another truck do the same thing and boy did the driveshaft bounce alot.i hope i did not damage that thing.any ideas? If so what would i look for.i just drives like i i driving on a very bumpy road, not a paved road.thanks fora help.

The vibration is probably related to the driveline. Could be a ujoint or something else.

Just speaking from personal experience just because you rotated The tires doesn’t mean you don’t have a tire that threw a wheel weight. May have sand and dirt built up in the inside of your rims. Try cleaning them up and have them rebalanced could be a simple fix if you didn’t have any issues prior to sand wheeling. Good luck keep us posted.

Check the carrier bearing on the driveshaft for play

I really dont feel to much vibration till i hit about 50 to 60 mph on the highway and i am not in 4wd at that time i did not notice it when i was on the beach driving slow, and i was still in 4wd at that time.

I also checked all the wheels for wheel weights and they were all there.the inside and outside weights.
