    Sway bar end link.

You can drive it, just note that you will have more body roll than usual.

Yes, sway bar link. I would go aftermarket for that in particular. Easier to get hands on. Would not worry about driving without it fixed till you have time. Plenty of guys remove the whole thing.

Is that a common problem? Could it have impacted anything else by being broke? Ill be off tomorrow to fix it but I am sure its a part that has to be ordered

In short: no. It isn't negatively impacting anything other than your driving experience.

Your sway bar (or anti-sway bar) end links connect the (anti) sway bar to the spindle. It is the only link between your left and right spindles (IE your left and right independent, front suspension). The purpose of the (anti) sway bar is to limit body roll and there are plenty of YT vids out there explaining the purpose. You will be fine running with a broken end link but you will notice your body rolling more than you are accustomed to because your suspension is now free to do its job.

I upgraded my suspension and the OME 2886 coils I have are considerable stiffer than stock so I just removed my sway bar and haven't looked back. Just don't get too wild taking 90 degree turns until you are used to the roll.

Check out Tinkerer's Adventure. He takes a data driven approach and explains Toyota IFS beautifully. This will make you a MUCH more informed consumer. If you watch one of his videos make it this one as it is a general overview...

Not a big deal at all. I broke mine on the trail and drove 4 hours home no problem. Just gives a little more body roll but you won't notice since the truck is IFS

Thanks.......I was actually thinking the same thing. Just go ahead an replace them both. I am getting Bilstein 5100s and 880 coils on the front with 4600s in the rear with General Spring normal leaf springs put on Thursday so I have a feeling I am going to be finding alot more little surprises like this sadly.

This happened to me last month and didn’t even know it was broken till I was washing the truck.
So driving it is probably ok to go to the dealership to get the parts

I don't know how long I drove around hearing a slightly annoying "tink" until I finally noticed a busted link. It rusted in place so everything looked normal :anonymous:
