I am looking to buy a motorcycle. Thousand Oaks Powersports is advertising their bikes at invoice pricing + freight + TTL, with no additional fees. This is a decent deal, I've read the fine print. But they won't tell me the price of my bike unless I go in person (I live 120 miles away).

They will show me their invoice and this deal ends 1/31/19. Would someone be willing to check a bike's price for me?

Edit: Thanks! Got it taken care of. TW members always lend a helping hand.

    Ugh TO powersports.

Horrible in more ways then just playing little pricing games.

I don’t think I’ll be taking my business there.

When I was buying my truck I had a very narrow window in which to do it. I called four dealerships, told them exactly what I wanted and only one would give me a price over the phone. It was pretty frustrating. I was replacing a Tacoma, I didn't need a test drive, I didn't need a sales pitch, and I didn't have time to dick around. I was just like, "I'm paying cash, give me your best OTD price." Nope. So they didn't get my business.

They want to be the low price volume leader (Last time I was in there they told me they were the volume leader which im not disputing for KTM). But when it comes to do typical dealer things, they make you play little games.

I end up going up to Paso Robles to buy my bikes now (TOPS is 3 min from my house).

They sell trucks? I’m talking about a Powersports dealership.

Huh, if they are going for being the volume dealership, then they should have low prices. But selling at invoice + freight doesn’t sound like it would be profitable at all.

Can't get much lower than Invoice?

They'll sell enough Farkles and jackets.

Nah, I was just talking about places not giving you prices over the phone.

That can be part of the game. They often don't pay "invoice". The dealer may be getting rebates they aren't telling you about. Sell one $10k bike and they pay $10k. Sell say 10 of them and get a $500 rebate on each bike. They make $5k on 10 bikes they sold for "invoice".
