I'm getting an error code (and check engine light) for Oxygen Sensor 1, Bank 1 on a 2004 Tacoma, 2.7L 4 Cylinder, 2 wheel drive automatic...

From what I'm finding the sensor is around $175 +/-, does anyone have a picture of it's location and/or a replacement thread with instructions, etc? I did a search but couldn't find what I was looking for...

Also, if for some reason that could be the wrong "diagnosis", any input would be greatly appreciated... I had the code reset, but it triggered immediately upon starting the engine...

Light bar and bumper guard, 3/16 steel skid plates for engine, tranny and transfer box, OME 881 springs with 5100 shocks at mid clip. AAL in rear. Positraction rear diff.
It's located on the drivers side just below the exhaust manifold where the front cat connects. it's at the front or input to the cat. If you replace it make sure to use anti-seize compound on the threads.

I think he was talking about the heater circuit for the first O2 sensor. I have replaced two of those on my trucks for that reason. I got mine from Rock Auto. Make sure you get the Denso (OEM).

This should be your sensor: DENSO Part # 2349001. It list for $116.79 at Rock Auto.

Also , go to the vendor section for Rock Auto and you can get the 5% discount code.

Make sure you soak down the nuts with PB Blaster or equivalent for a couple of days to make the job easier.

Thanks, I got it ordered and used the 5% discount code, I assume I can pick up PB blaster at my local auto parts store?

They should have PB Blaster, Liquid Wrench, or any other penetrating oil. Soaking those nuts down a few times makes removal easier. Then put a little anti seize on each one (also available at the parts store) when you put it back together.
