I go to school in Wyoming and spend my summers in the mountains there. I am looking to lift my truck a little to make some of the dirt roads out here a little bit easier to drive. But I cant decide wether to get a 4 or 6 in lift. Any suggestions. I have a access cab with the 2.7L. I am willing to re gear.

9''? That just seems a little bit of overkill

x2 you will get more clearance out of a 3" lift than a drop bracket lift.

    BTW welcome to TW!!

Ok so it looks like most agree on 3''. Any brand that is better than the other?

Icon, King, Fox. They are also more expensive

OME will probably be all you need around our area of the country. It won't break the bank like Icon, Kings, and Fox will. I've got the OME full lift with Dakars and see no need to upgrade now or in the future. With the Dakars you can carry a load in the back w/o the truck sinking to the ground like it does with the factory leaf springs. Ride is firm but not harsh and it drives like a truck should.

12 inch - 6 inch drop bracket with 3 in coil and big blocks and leafs out back, then add a 3 inch body lift. it will be awesome with some nice chrome rims and stuff like that too!

but seriously, i run a the ome lift on my reg cab. 884x's with small top plate spacers, dakars and some sky jacker shocks that are a bit longer than the ome rear shocks. no complaints from me with this lift.

I was thinking about getting either the rough country 6'' lift or the fabtech 6'' lift.

My tuck already has a 3'' spacer in the front and i believe a AAL in the back to boost it a little bit.
