I’m looking at buying this 2003 2wd tacoma with 161,000 miles. No engine problems. Paint is a little faded on the hood. Comes with the Thule racks on the back. What’s a good price to pay for something like this??

KBB, Edmund's TMV are both good indicators. Also, CL for your area to see what people are asking for something similar. If you give us your zip code, we can help in this search.

What is the current asking price?
    Engine size?
    auto or manual?

any other after market items? stereo, etc?

Automatic v6. It’s a friend of mine that is selling. He wants me to make an offer. I just want to make sure it’s reasonable but fair for him. Everything else is standard.

Zip code is 29577. Thanks for the help!

Honestly, I would say $7k would be fair for both of you. If it was 4wd, just over $8k. 1st gen, double cabs, are worth it. You can always do a 4wd conversion in the future if you really wanted to.

I do see some damage behind the passenger rear door. If there is any more, then maybe a little less. Maybe even take it to a body shop for a quote, then subtract half that from the offer price.

Based on what? There is a 03 DC with 4wd on CL in his area for $8k right now. I am curious why you think this model is worth more.

Edmunds said $6k, but we all no those site are usually a little low.

Frame is solid. Small dent in bottom of rear passenger side door and small dent on the front bumper. Don’t really see much other that that
