I am kind of over it to be honest. I am getting a daily driver next week and this will be an extra truck at home. Could use the money towards the new car.

the big thing here is that the majority of buyers are going to be financing the deal.

if it was cash only, and you're selling exactly what the buyer wants, it's a personal transaction.

but once financing is involved, they're going to do comps. and the comps they pull will be off kelly blue book, or other non-modified trucks. when financing is involved, the bank needs to protect their investment in the chance that the buyer flakes and they end up paying for a $50k truck that's worth $35k by all market specifications.

but for the record, both my 2018 tacoma and 2014 brz are always for sale and available to the first person with $150k cash.

Guy in town put an F350 Diesel dually in the yard for sale. I cringed when he put it out there with pastel purple 25 inch rims with low profile street tires. Awful for winter, not for off road and not even appropriate for the giant New England craters during pothole season!

If towing or hauling, it would have sold in a day if shown with some stock rims and tires that match the specs of the truck.

Instead, it sat out for three months. No idea if it sold or not.

You can sell if they have cash (many people do), lower the price below book value or just hold out patiently and not be in a rush for a sale to happen.

I hope you do sell and get what you need to out of the vehicle. :fingerscrossed:

List it for $100K OBO with a detailed list of all Mods. You won't get that but see how far someone is willing to negotiate. Aim high and you might hit a good spot in the middle.

Or they'll roll their eyes and move on because someone listing this truck for $100k clearly isn't a serious person

of course you're going to get that, i never said everyone will jump at it and want it. I'm pretty sure that in Cali/L.A area you'll find someone who wants to talk it down.

Out of curiosity have you tried to list it with one of those big online sellers? See what happens.

    That is a sick build!
Everything is workable. Every light from your bumper, your winch, roof rack, sliders, floor mats if you have them. All stuff you can sell and they don’t really need replacement.
And! If you’re not in a rush you could sell stuff and people send you their OEM part. Like head-units or lights or anything else you upgraded.
No getting the money back from regear, suspension, bumper and wheels of course.
Best of luck brother! Whatever you decide

Stage 4 icon kit (upper control arms, added leaf springs, 2.5 remote resi in front, 2.0 remote resi in rear). C4 fabrication - hybrid front bumper W/ full sized bull bar (10K synthetic winch), rock runner high clearance rear bumper, C4 full skid plates (flat belly) and fuel tank skid, 16in method 703's wheels, 265/75R16 BFag KO3 tires, OTT -overland torque tuned (medium-spicy)
I would keep the truck unless you're going to take the loss. Regear, possible lockers? Bumpers, suspension, cab mount chops, and all the other fixings. If it's not money or space related keep it to give to your son/daughter one day. Plus you can still go wheel and go on camp trips for life.

How about next Mecum auction that comes around??? Set a reasonable reserve and see what happens. If no movement at reserve, you could lift it and see if that fuels bidding.

If not in a hurry, that is what I might try...

lol. 100k is the "yes wife, i'm TRYING to sell it, but no one wants it!" price.

if you want $50k, list it at 55-60k for starters.
