Hey Guys. This is my first post here. I am from Australia and have a 2012 Toyota Hilux Manual Transmission 4x4 1GR-FE 4.0L
I have bolted on a TRD Supercharger and im having troubles with the tuning.
When it gets to a certain rpm/torque (approx 2000rpm) it limits the throttle to 65% and wont go back to 100% until about 6000rpm. The car is only getting 160kw atrws (with 32" Tyres) It has a torque limiter in the factory ecu and noone in australia has been able to help/ fix it in the factory ecu (only using piggyback ecus).
Is this a common problem with all supercharged 1grs? Can anyone provide the correct calibration id for the supercharger?
I have 2 Calibration ids from the Supercharger instructions but need help getting a hold of the files.

The 2 software files are 3YWG2400 or 3YWG2500. One is a Pre-Runner 4x4 MT and other is a X runner MT so i'm unsure what i need to suit my Hilux. If these files have the torque limiters removed my tuner can adjust everything else.

This has been going on for nearly 12 months now and i desperately need help to figure it out which is why i'm trying to get information from other places cause there is no help in Australia at all.

I could be wrong with some of my information but if anyone could help me with any information i would be forever grateful.

@Miss_Gytr Hi Bree, does your supercharged Hilux have the TRD supercharger flash program on the ECU yet? Here in the USA, most owners will drive to the Toyota dealership to get the ECU reflash after the completion of the supercharger installation. But from what you wrote, it sounds like you have no software changes to control additional fuel and the larger injectors? If not, your vehicle is in a precarious state of forced induction.

Contact Orange Virus Tuning @OVTune as this company has been able to "hack" the factory Toyota ECU to compensate for the TRD supercharger and custom tune for other accessories.

Just to add... the two software files that you referenced above are the TRD supercharger software calibration IDs. The 3YWG**** are the supercharger files and they are obtained through the Toyota dealership.

I'm not sure what you mean by torque limiters....maybe something is lost in translation. But, I believe, there is a rev limiter and a speed limiter. Rev limiter should be untouched for the vast majority of people..... speed limiter can be removed (by OVT), but often unnecessary unless you like driving 160+km all the time.

I do have the orange virus software in the car and my tuner has been able to tune the car fine but it still isnt right. This is what the tuner has given me. The Green is the throttle position over the rev range. 20180908_071453.jpg

And unfortunately in australia we cant just walk to toyota and they give us the software cause all those supercharger files arent available here. In australia we only have 1 supercharged hilux which is automatic and doesnt have vsv or tc.
