    Hi all,

I'm trying to troubleshoot my brake controller.

    I'm pulling a 2022 Of Grid Trailers Pando 2.0 with a 2017 Tacoma. I'm using a Tekonsha P3 brake controller.

    I notice the following issues:

    1. The brake controller only seems to send voltage when the Tacoma lights are on.

    2. When I'm driving, it feels like there is resistance, even if I'm not using the brakes (with the lights on). The first time I noticed this was hitting a bump between sections on a bridge and felt the truck get pulled back by the trailer.

    3. The controller often shows higher than 0.0 when driving. It will read 0.3, for example, even if I'm driving at highway speed.

    4. The other thing I'm not sure about is the high light on the rear of the Pando is on all the time. I'm not sure if that's normal, or if it should only turn on when I'm applying brakes.

    5. The controller will often think a trailer is connected, even if there isn't one. This typically happens when I turn the truck on and the lights come on right away.

I'm trying to figure out if this is normal behaviour, or if I have a bad controller.

I have also tried changing the ground location and get the same results.

Thanks for any help! And reading that whole thing!!!

I have used a Tekonsha P3 for over 5 hears and have none of the mentioned symptoms. You might contact the company for their input.
