Not mine, but wanted to see the connector pins of the ECM, looks like most Toyota ECU have almost the same connectors. The bottom picture is for a manual transmission and has less connections.

So Boomslang said that my harness should be completed by this Friday. Very pricey on the fact that the website said it would be $637 plus S/H for a manual and the actual price was $785 with the S/H , maybe because it's for an automatic transmission, the extra wires I guess. In either case I am going to have a hell of a setup.

Well you'll have to wire everything in, unplug your ignition coils (good practice on a first power up and any time you're updating firmware), turn the key on, and connect via USB. We need to see what software is on that Elite 1000 since it is used. If it is on the old ESP software it will need to be updated to the new NSP software.

So good starting point is to download the NSP software from Haltech first and see if it connects. If it does then we can see what firmware version is on it and see if it needs an update. If it doesn't connect you'll have to install the ESP software and use it to upgrade to NSP (theres a menu option for it).

    So start here...

Been doing some research on my chineese turbo setup, I did not know that it was a Garrett turbo replica. :annoyed: So the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garrett_AiResearch site has a lot of information on how the company got all started. I actually scored a REAL Garrett AiResearch turbo which I am going to have rebuilt and upgraded with ball bearings and honed.

Is going to look like this here when it comes back from the turbo rebuilt shop with OEM Garrett parts.

Is that a 60-1 turbo? Do you know the turbine wheel and housing specs for it?

3071r is absolutely perfect on the 3rz. 60-1 will work fine but be a tad laggy pending which turbine wheel it has.

That compressor housing looks just like the GT3071 on Garrett's site.

How can I get the OEM Garrett part numbers to build this turbo up?

Look for a stamp or tag on the bearing housing. If it has one, you should have the serial number there. That's the only way I know how. That or get in touch with turbo labs of America(if he is still around) or a turbo rebuilding shop(mostly diesel, but they can usually still source parts for turbos). I'd compare cost though for rebuilding it and all the upgrades vs picking up a pulsar 3071. The pulsars are dual ball bearing, inconel turbine wheel, billet compressor wheel, and honestly pretty damn high quality for the 700$ or so that you spend on one brand new

Yeah, you would likely need a very specific turbo assembly number in order to cross-reference individual replacement parts. That's the only reliable way I've found at least for OEM Garretts. There is probably some diesel application that uses the same parts as your particular turbo. The hard part is finding it.

On a side note, I just got one of those $85 ebay GT3076s for the lulz. Thinking about using it as the atmospheric turbo in a compound setup...

Yeah that is what I have now and don’t get me wrong , there is absolutely nothing wrong with my turbo, but I am just trying to have something that I can replace right away in case it fails. The Chinese are great on copying the Garrett turbos , but it’s the internals that they are not good at.
