Need help understanding this

2nd time I've had these 2 error pop up 1st driving back from getting gas few months back had it towed cuz it died felt like it couldn't get moving just chug ... dealership said they couldn't recreate the issue and these most commonly seen like doing mudding and stuff ... it's my daily driver .... 2nd was 2 days ago just sitting in my truck idling and then it randomly dies and throws these 2 error messages again, it feels like it's get getting power before it wants to chug again but luckily it pushes thru it.... just trying to get some explanations or answers to resolve.

 

Check fluid level in tranny, maybe.

 

Yeah I'm buying new atf and watching YouTube to do the flush... probably this weekend.

 

You can buy a temp monitor for trans temp. It isn’t a real thermostat but derived from ecu

You can buy a bluetooth obd scanner and download (and pay for the tacoma pid) the OBD Fusion app so you can see the trans temp on your phone while you are checking the fluid level. This will save you from having to jump pins with a wire and all that
