Need help with a parking ticket

    I got a parking ticket from a private company back in December. I sent them a dispute because the machine had a paper taped to it but it was illegible due to it raining. I disputed the ticket under the reason the machine was broken (the city uses private companies for the parking) the company and I agreed to just pay the original parking fee, they argues the machine isn't broken and that the note stated that it freezes up so to be patient with it, I figured paying the original fee is more than fair, I contacted the PO today because I got a return receipt with no signature and they informed me that they have left 3 notices (the company uses a PO box) but that they have not picked it up and it will be sent back to me this afternoon. The company's voice-mail is full and they do not pick up the phone so I can not get a hold of someone to inform them. I have 9 bucks tied up in shipping with them which is more than the original parking fee and really do not want to ship it again, but I also do not want them digging my credit or booting my truck next time i visit that city, what course of action do I have

    @fireturk41 Some government office in the city will be responsible for the parking company, contact THEM as your next step.

    Failing that, contact a TV news station in that city and see if their investigative reporter / consumer action team or whatever can make something happen.

    Under contract to the government of that location. Or it's a private lot and the same company operates several there.

    Well just an update, they finally picked up the check after it sat in the post office for two weeks, then took a week to process the payment. Because it took more than 30 days since the resolution they wrote me a $120 ticket for being late paying the first ticket. Still trying to work on this and i have my paper work lined up for all the proofs i mailed stuff on time
