I don't know if you have felt how huge of a difference correcting your gears feel like, but I hope you enjoy them. Aloha from 'Oahu!!!

6'-1" 235. Luckily the military has kept me from getting too big!

That's one of the greatest Hawaiian names in the language! LOL! :D

I'm the runt of my 5 siblings, there is NO WAY they would let my two brothers join any service. Or even my sisters (LOL).:)
Its not all about the size of the dog in the fight, mostly about the fight in the dog. I've seen a 6'-4" 260lb Samoan drop like a sack of rocks from a 5'-8" Podagee!!!
But like I always say, jus live ALOHA! Malama Pono my braddah!:D

4.10's won't cut it. I have them from the factory and they are alright with my 31's but I think 33's just need a little more. 4.56 would be good but then again you sacrifice the top end of the speedo.

driving over 80mph here is bad news...so loosing some top end is ok.

i'm on 255/85 tires so i'm looking into what others have gone to, since i'm keeping the factory foot print.

Yeah second East coast gear. Got my parts from them. Cheapest place and great service. If you call them they will answer any questions you might have.

Just to give you an idea on what I paid for my parts from ECGS

    -T100-488-MG MG TAC488: T100 488 RING AND PINION $185.00
    -T8CS-488RT-NG T8S-488RT-NG TOYOTA 8'' REVERSE
CLAMSHELL 4.88 THICK RING AND PINION $245.00
    - T100-MINI-EC T100 Mini Istallation Kit - Includes Pinion Seal, Pinion
Nut, Crush Sleeve, Pinion Shims, Gear Marking
Compound, Paint Brush, Loctite - $45.00
-T8CS-MINI-EC Toyota 8" Clamshell Mini Install Kit - Includes Pinion
nut and seal, Crush Sleeve, Tube Seals, and Shim Kit -$85

So total price for all parts needed to regear was $560 (if your going to use your old bearings) I don't recomend this unless your bearings have low millage.
I got free shipping and 10% military discount because I also ordered front and rear ARB lockers with a compressor and manifold kit. Did the install myself using youtube and this forum. I went with 4.88 and running 33" tires. I like the combo and the idea of being able to run 35" if I ever chose to in the future without having to regear again was a big factor in deciding between 4.56 and 4.88

Holy poop! I5, thanks for all that info! I really like the last comment you made about having the ability to jump up to 35's. It's not like we need top end here in Hawaii. Is there a website that you can give me please? I have done many of suspension lifts, engine swaps, and even did a few sets of gears myself but I am pretty intimidated by doing this to my truck that has less than 10,000 miles on it if you know what I mean. I would love to jump on that deal of less than $600 dollars right now, though. I will decide if I will have them installed or do it myself later. Definitely thanks again for the knowledge brother!!! Aloha! :D :D :D
