Ok, So first off the forum is amazing and helped me identify the actual issue I have. Now I need help to understand if I should buy two new front shocks and if I need to take into consideration of a potential lift that may be on the truck. I purchased this truck 5days ago and dealer won’t even call me back.

The top of the front driver side Shock is not centered and causing a squeaky noise. I have seen other posts where the shaft is worn from rubbing so I feel like I should be prepared to at least replace the driver side all together. The OME front shock has “90000” on it which seems like a part number. Will this replace the one that is there or do I need to worry about a potential lift? I see they sell kits for different size lifts. This is on a 2020 Tacoma TRD Off-road. Appreciate the help!

It looks like the bushings either weren't assembled together properly, or one might have gone missing. The photos show no tension on the top bushing. You can see in this video how they go together at the top. If the shaft of the shock isn't badly damaged, you might be able to get away with some new bushings and washers to re-center it. Or if it's bad, yes 90000 is the part number of the single strut.

It's the same process for any struts that use the OEM top mount.
