    Hey guys,
I seriously need some help before I take a hammer to my new to me HU. I just installed the Pioneer AVH-X3300BT in my 2011 Tacoma. I bought this almost a year ago and finally had a friend help me install. I also got the ASWC steering wheel adapter which made things a lot easier. My problems is that I absolutely CANNOT get a custom background on this thing. I have searched and searched and watched videos and watched videos...I have put some TRD wallpaper images on an SD card, then on a USB, then on a CDR...nothing. I have set the background to OFF in the settings, made sure the images were JPEG...even saved some the of the backgrounds in a smaller version...and still nothing. It will show on the screen that the files are there after the "format read" goes away...but it will not play the images. I even tried to put the parking brake on (which may not matter but I am at my wits end)...which by the way I did not install the parking brake bypass because I don't intend to watch any videos or movies...and still nothing. Anyone know what I could be doing wrong? Anyone else with this same problem? Music that I have downloaded to the SD card and the USB work fine...it's just the images that will not play. There is never a "capture" that comes up on the screen and in the settings for the background the little camera icon is shaded gray so you can't select it. There is nothing else hooked to this thing. No ipod, nothing.

I don't understand why the music plays, and the stereo reads that there are JPEG images on the SD card or USB, but it won't show any of them....

If I remember correctly the image has to be within a specific resolution and size for it to work. I'd dig into the manual and somewhere it will say what is supported. I know my older Pioneer HU is some funky resolution and nothing other than that displays.
