    Hey folks,

I dropped a nut inside the center shifter where you switch gears (my luck haha) so I had to take apart my center shifter and right now when the plug underneath the shifter was unplugged and then plugged back in, I can no longer take my key out the ignition when I turn the car off in park.

Does that need to be recalibrated?? I have to unplug the plug underneath the shifter to be able to remove my key while in park when the car is off. I also cannot shift without the plug being plugged in.

Everything else is plugged in and working fine around the shifter.

There's a switch in the shifter that tells it when it's in park to allow the key to come out, you need to check that that switch is working.

Understood. Will that switch be in the same general area or something under the car?

It's in the shifter itself, I'm not sure of the exact location but it should be depressed by something when the shifter is in park.

It will be the piece that the 4 pin connector goes into.
    It's will have a Blue/White and Black/White wire.
I'd test it like shown below first.
The shifter has some stupid little plastic tabs that are easily broken. If it's the switch, be careful in disassembly.

That's the solenoid on the ignition switch, looks like the switch may be integrated into the Shift Lock ECU.
