I recently installed the LCE Dual Comp clutch on my 5vz. The pressure plate for the new clutch is rated for 2100 lbs vs the 900lbs for the stock pressure plate. For whatever reason the pedal feels factory, maybe softer. There is not air in the lines and the slave cylinder and master cylinder are not showing signs of needing replacement. I'm pretty much out of ideas here. Please let me know if you have any advice or similar experiences.

    Thanks

with a Hydraulic clutch the pedal no matter what clutch you install always feels about the same .

Unless something is installed wrong or the wrong parts

Now if you had a mechanical clutch just pure linkage you would feel a big difference

It all comes down to how it engages and releases .

I had a stage 3 full faced disc in my last turbo Tacoma. It had a MUCH softer pedal. Clutch mfg change the pedal feel by changing the pressure plate pivot point. What you're experiencing is normal.

If you have any questions about it, I'd call the clutch MFG and ask them.

Anytime I've had a new clutch put in on any vehicle, the pedal always feels much "softer" and easier to push in for the first few hundred miles. Always goes back to normal though.

Alright. I guess I assumed it would be stiffer. I feel much better about all this now. Thanks for the help

I drive so many different clutches after awhile they all feel pretty much the same .

It always seems like it is my first day I stall quite often .
