When i bought the truck the previous owner installed an alpine stereo, two speakers in the back. two tweeters in the front, and wired it for an amp and 2 subs.

In the spring when it rains a lot or in the winter when it is cold the speakers crackle all of a sudden and then shut off al sound completely. The stereo is still on and the cd will play and i can change the station but no sound.

When the passenger door is opened then shut or bumped the sound comes back on.

This has only happened a few times so I didn't investigate and it only happened in the rain or cold until today.

I drove on rough gravel washboards and the speakers shut all sound off but this time they won't come back on.

I think the problem is in the passenger door.
Anyone know what is wrong or how to fix it? Or at least tell me how to remove the door panel on a 1995 tacoma?

    Thank you for the help.

sounds like a bad cable somewhere. Check the amp. Is the protection light on?(power light is red instead of green)

Check the power cable running to the amp from the battery.

check the ground cable to amp.

then check all the speak wire connections
