    adio,
I did not like the small screen on the Taco's factory mirror so I ordered the one for the 2010 Tundra from Gentex (Mito Corp.) which as a much larger screen. It came with a pigtail adapter from the back of the mirror to the OEM 14-pin connector. The pig tail adapter they had a bunch of different wire colors too. I had to study it for a while.

Might not hurt to call Gentex (Mito Corp.) in Elkhart, IN and ask them if they did that with your model mirror. Their number is 574-295-2441. They are the OEM for these Toyota camera mirrors. By rullng out stuff, and taking your time you will eventually get it.

    sorry for the late reply

BamaToy1997- here's where those wires are coming from the mirror.
Taco'09- thanks. I don't think I can update to a bigger mirror any time soon. plus I got that mirror at a cheap price. I'll give them a call and ask em some questions.

here's where it's coming from. and no that's not the white wire it's just the flash from the phone

here's the plug that I took off from the male connectors. as you can see it's made for 14 pins, but there's only 12 pins/wires.

See, now that can help a lot now. If you look at the terminal locations that I will re-list, it should give you an indication of where the wires should be hooked up to.

2010 Tacoma, rear view mirror wiring:

    1. lt-green - Ign fuse power
    2. wht/blk - ground, left rear frame rail
    3. red - backup lamp switch
    4. blank
    5. blank
    6. white - CV(Neg) backup camera
    7. red - CV(Pos) backup camera
    8. blank
    9. red - MCVD radio receiver assembly
    10. blank
    11. white - MIC(Pos) radio receiver assembly
    12. blk - MIC(Neg) radio receiver assembly
    13. NCA - Camera ground/shield
    14. blk - CB(Pos) backup camera power

To help you identify which terminal is which, when looking at the plug that goes into the mirror itself, terminal 1 should be a light green wire. from there you count across the length of the connector, including any empty holes, then restart again on the second row. The terminal under #1 should be #8, and it should be a blank opening.

HOWEVER when looking at the photo of the connector that is plugged into the mirror, you can distinctly see that there are only 12. This makes me curious, as according to the 2010 Tacoma wiring diagram, there should be 14. Is there any chance that the mirror you bought from the yard was not a factory Tacoma mirror?

Here is the wiring diagram itself. Perhaps it will help.

If you notice, pretty much none of the colors match the diagram, this again concerns me as to where that mirror came from.

BamaToy- I personally didn't take it off from the truck, but I was with the junk yard worker when he took it off. even I got frustrated as to why the mirror wiring didn't match up with the diagram you and Taco'09 provided.

me being an impatient person just couldn't stand it, that it wasn't working out for me. so decided to take a stab at it again. a few post back I manage to get it to where it would show a blue screen but only for a few seconds.

me having the trial and error mentality, started to switch up the wiring around. blew a fuse on the junction box again hahaha. got to this. you can slightly see the image but it seems like it had a week signal or something. grainy/rainbow flickering screen.

after switching up some more wires, finally got a clear view of the back of the truck.. tested it out a couple times, no issue that I know of. so we'll see in the long run. So happy:D

    thanks again BamaToy1997 and Taco'09

What exactly did you switch around to get it working? I have the same mirror I am trying to wire up and an getting the same blue screen for a few seconds.
