I have a 2006 TRD offroad, yesterday I changed serpentine belt and spark plugs, when I took it for test drice , check engine light came on and started flashing. Went to parts store to read the code, came back misfire cylinder 1. I took all the coils back off and reseated, reset check engine light. After driving for a few minutes, light came back on, went back to check the code, same error message. Figured the coil must be bad, bought a new coil. Installed, reset light and same problem. Any ideas? Any confirmation that cylinder 1 is passenger side front?

You could swap coils around to see if the fault changes position. This will help verify or eliminate the coil pak.

It was probably 3 years ago that I did mine, but I vaguely remember something at the plug coming out ??? not necessarily the coil, but connection to plug. ???
