I have a 125cc TAG kart. Its electric start. It's standard practice in karting to pull the spade connector off the battery when not in use because of a constant load from a computer. I'm interested to hear how people not involved in karting would do this differently. The battery I'm using has a 10amp max on the BEC so I know the starting current is within that range.

There is a lot of vibration and some really hard impacts in karting. This kart specifically does 70mph with no suspension.

Maybe a battery switch from a marine store, a big red switch.

    Was my first thought
I don't think it would rattle or vibrate loose cuz those are one of the styles that have the locking feature

Do you have a kill switch? Another one of those would probably do the trick. We used agricultural (tractor etc) toggle switches on our racing karts back in the 70’s and 80’s simply because that’s what we had available on the farm. Never had a failure even after they were retired from racing and literally put out to pasture. We built a track in the field lol.

    It's a 10amp max circuit. These 100amp options are a bit excessive
