Any good ideas to mount fishing rod holder in back of truck and where?
There is the 3 holder plastic one at academy - guess bolt in truck by back window - left - center - right side?
    Any other ideas?

you can make your own easy enough, just use pvc "tees" for the cross bar and with a 12" length of pipe sticking up for the pole to sit in.

make as many rod holders as you need, then just secure it to the truck with clamps or brackets and its a good idea to have a bunge cord to keep them in place

for the cross bar use pipe clamps, for the angle you want just use a 90 on the ends and angle it at the correct angle with a 12" pipe in them as "support legs" then once its all sitting just how you like it mark all the fittings and pipe, take it apart and glue them together. then clamp those "support legs" to the bed and its not moving and stays at the angle you want it.

the design is endlessly changeable as you will see so you can figure out the best support for how you want it, you might want it to sit on top of the bed and use tees near the bed rails for supports going straight down to clamp against the front wall of the bed to keep the floor free. the possabilities are endless and pvc pipe is cheap but the fittings are like $2-$3 each so be sure before you start gluing. if you use the gray electrical pvc conduit its even cheaper then the white pvc pipe. its like an erector set, all you need is a bunch of tees and short lengths of pipe to connect them and play around with it until you are happy.

    use 1 1/2" pipe like this: http://www.homedepot.com/p/JM-eagle-1-1-2-in-x-10-ft-PVC-Schedule-40-Conduit-67488/100140678

    use these tees: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Charlotte-Pipe-1-1-2-in-PVC-Sch-40-S-x-S-x-S-Tee-PVC024001400HD/203812203

DO NOT use these, they are weak because not much pipe goes in the fitting and they will break on you: http://www.homedepot.com/p/NIBCO-1-1-2-in-PVC-DWV-All-Hub-Sanitary-Tee-C4811HD112/100344315

these are the best clamps to use: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Raco-EMT-1-1-2-in-2-Hole-Steel-Strap-2-Pack-2096B2/203671472

as for me, I think I'm going to go with a telescoping fishing rod.
