i made some sliders this summer i don't have any build photos of them because they were all on my old computer. When i mock them up to the truck i think the look good i just cant decide if the stick out to far from the body. when i get out of the truck i feel like i have to stretch to get my leg pat them. I have never really seen a tacoma up close with them on so i'm just wondering if anyone has some input? maybe shorten the legs a bit?

I have a double dab, but was planning on building some rock sliders this summer. Approximately how much material did you use?

IIRC they are about 78-80 inches long. It was a pretty time consuming project because i dont have a tube notcher so i did all the small pieces connecting the 2 together with a grinder lol

    1 length of 2x2
    1 length of 1.75 tubing
and then i had some random pieces of 2x2 for the legs and then some plate for mounts. i think the lengths were 21ft

Debadged all emblems. trd stickers still on for now
I want my sliders to also function as door ding prevention, so that looks perfect to me. I also want to know how much material you had to buy. Great job, they look great, pro job.

x2. Mine sit flush with my tires. I always go by the theory that sliders should stick out past the furthest part of the door (if that makes sense). Mine does, and then some. I do brush against them sometimes so if you have mud on them you'll have to put a little bit of effort into getting out sometimes. I've busted my butt a few times wearing a dress and heels or landing on ice while avoiding mud on them haha. Also you don't want then so close to the cab that if you hit them hard it will bend into the cab. Not fun getting your door open after that.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
I think they look good that wide they match your tires nicely.

I had access to a pipe bender that a friend had. I only had 2 bends total so it didn’t take much. Maybe there’s a shop near you that can do a few quick bends for you?
