I think you wasted your money on the K&N, the stock intake draws cold air from the fender. It's doubtful you'll get any real gains from the K&N, just more noise. Full exhaust may help a bit but for real power gains you'd have to look at superchargers or engine programmers (not chips, something like the APR-X1 if you can find one).

Where and what kind of power are you looking for? High rpm, low rpm? Normally any change you make might get you one or the other, but not both. In some cases it's gain one, lose the other....

o you have an 09, so APR is out, they don't support 09+ yet
o MAF Cali is a good thought, but it will only gain you power when in open loop
o short tube headers will gain you some down low
o long tubes will gain you some up high
o a decent CAI (AFE, URD, TRD) may gain you a few HP up top
o a dual exhaust may gain you a few HP up top (very dependant on pipe size though and if it's a true dual, or just a dual exit)

Might want to consult a bit with URD for NA mods for your situation.

Sorry for steering you the wrong direction, I wasn't even paying attention to what year you have. No APR X-1 for you

This isn't at all accurate. I ran the K&N cai on my truck for 3 years. With the K&N intake, a tune, and exhaust, I saw a 70hp gain on a boosted truck. *Note this is on a DynoDynamics dyno, which reads lower then a dynojet due to being a loaded dyno, not inertia (as you can tell by the stock dyno).

    Stock - 181rwhp/230rwtq (80*/40% humidity)
    Stock TRD S/C - 229rwhp/280rwtq (93*/44% humidity)
    TRD S/C, K&N CAI, X-1, DTLT, URD CBE = 297rwhp & 320rwtq - 70wrhp/40rwtq gain

I later went on to dyno 356rwhp/366rwhp after building a motor with lower compression, upping the boost a little, and adding a true dual exhaust (with the same K&N cai).

The long tubes comment is accurate on many other vehicles, but not for the 1gr motor. The long tubes have gains only in the mid range spanning about 2k rpms. You will only see high rpm gain under boost if you have a catback that allows for extra volume. Also the low end loss is not as bad as people claim it is. This dyno is a bit misleading as they didn't start the pull until about 1800rpm vs the 1500 of the stocker.

I got my blower for $2500, and there is a vendor on eBay that has a sale every 4 or 5 months for $3k. The install is simple enough, that I see no reason to pay the $900-$1400 for a dealer installation.

HP costs $$, simple as that. For the more budget minded, cai, headers, catback, and a tune should net you a combined 30-45hp, on a good tune. The URD MAF Cal is a good option for a simple solution. For a good tune that will net you the most power, you will need something more powerful like the MAP 2 ECU or MAP 3 ECU.
