I am leasing (try it before you buy it) a 2017 TRDOR 4dr Tacoma. This site did right previously and had me get a Diamondback HD cover. Now I would like to run some Toyo tires instead of the stock Kevlar (which have had 2 flats already) I am being told I need a leveling kit for the front. Which is the right one to buy. I DO NOT want a lift for the whole truck, just a leveling kit on the front. I welcome any and all advice on the subject. I checked with Toyota and it will NOT affect my ability to turn it in at the end. I may keep it, I may buy a 2020 who knows but I love it so far.

What size tire are you wanting to run? You can easily upgrade tires without any lift/level.

If you do level it, the recommendation around TacomaWorld is usually Bilstein 5100’s with lift coils, and avoid spacer lifts.

    5100’s:

You can use your stock coils with these as they are adjustable, or you can add lift coils and set them at the lowest level. This way the coil will provide the lift.

    Lift coils:

is there a benefit of using lift coils? Cause don't the Bilstein's give you the lift anyways?

I could be wrong but i believe with the 5100 set at 0 you get a stock height and then preload the spring more to get some lift thus thus stiffening the ride to a degree. Lift coils will give you some lift without adding extra preload which to some peoplea opinions makes it ride nicer while still adding lift. Dont quote me im newish here and have bone stock suspension

I dont know enough about them to say how much lift youd gain at max setting with stock or aftermarket coils

    By whom?

For what size replacement tire? You can run full 33" if you pick the right tire and wheel combo, no lifting, no rubbing. A few threads around on that.

Of course. You can also turn it in with a dented fender or excess mileage. But that doesn't mean they won't ding you on your residual value.

Just because someone 'says' that is meaningless. Get it in writing. If they won't do that, be prepared to remove whatever you put on. Just in case.
