Back before 2005 when the LSD units were marketed as TRD accessories, you could get clutch pack replacement / rebuilt kits from them (TRD). I'd check there first.

So far as I know, the mechanical LSD used on the 2005+ generation (until 2009) was the same unit as the earlier TRD accessory one (sourced from Eaton). If there's no readily-available kit from Toyota (or maybe TRD) I'd call Eaton and see if they have something.

i was talking about the clutch pack in the differential. hey thanks guys i guess i'm gonna have to do some more searching...really hoping i can find something to just do a rebuild. what i saw so far looks like an entire new differential from eaton...but $450 seemed really cheap so i don't know if i'm mistaken on what i'm looking at.

billseph, welcome. I know you said you abused it, but how many miles on your LSD? Change the fluid at least every 30K?

yeah the fluid has totally been taken care of...and there are only 30,000 miles on the truck...it's just been thrashed around a lot...shoot i already have had the clutch replaced and at the same time had the flywheel replaced because it had a lot of heat fractures on it...so needless to say it has had some SERIOUS abuse. just driving like an idiot...what can i say, i'm young.

i have been looking for some type of rebuild kit for my 2005 limited slip rear-end and still cannot find anything as far as i can tell. Does anyone here know where i can find a rebuild it for this rear-end...i don't want a locker, i would just like to have use of my limited slip again. if anyone can give me some information on where i can find one of these rebuild kits, or someting like what i am looking for (i really am not knowledgeable on who will have these setups) i would be exremely appreciative.
