Need muffler help

    KC high lighters,K&N CAI,smoked tail light,corner,and3rd brake lights, clear turn signels, blackchrome headlights, blistien 5100s and aal, 800w soney amp with 1 kicker comp.10 custom box. pioneer door speakers and cd player, spray painted grill,door handels,wheel trim,tool box.
    Had this thread in performance and no one responded.....I have a 1997 single cab 2.7L I have seen that the stock muffler is welded to the pipes so i was wondering if i could cut the stock one out and put a flowmaster 40 mabey in its place but insted of weld it use clamps to hold it on and what size is my pipes 2 1/2 idk........also if i use the stock pipe single in and out will the truck be louder one more Q does the muffler inlet and outlet need to be in line like stock THANKS ALOT

    Yep, that's the idea, and I'm sure you could use clamps.... but i highly recommend you weld, i guess for a peace of mind. I know the 2nd Gen have 2.5" pipes, not sure about the 1st gens but someone will chime in and answer that for ya. Have you heard other mufflers around here?
