If you have stainless lines I would be interested in those. Not really wanting high mileage calipers, mine are sticking at 173k.

Unless its oem Rock auto sells complete garbage.

Just buy a set of steel lines from Wheelersoffroad.com

I have been ordering from Rock Auto for about the last 15 years...in that time, I have received exactly ONE wrong part, and it was replaced in two days. Last summer, while chasing down brake issues on my 68 Dodge pickup, I was able to get complete hardware kits, self adjustor kits, and friction material at closeout prices, while my local FLAPS didn't have them in stock and no interest in ordering...

In one year period, Advanced Auto managed to sell me a rebuilt cylinder head that had EVERY valve ground beyond specs, three alternators that failed upon installation, a rebuild carb that sucked air and burned valves.

Last month, I had to clean a mouse nest out of my wife's 2013 WRX and needed a new cabin air filter. So I stopped at the local Advanced Auto, not in stock, special order, $27 for one. Rock Auto had three for $35 and I got them in 48 hours. Or the day I needed a regular plastic fuel filter for 5/16 hose and Auto Zone said special order, three days...

While I have used the specialty vendor on the list for (Wheelers Off Road gives great service) for things like billies shocks, When I need common repair items, I like to stick to my normal parts chain.

Before you SLAM Rock Auto, do a little research.

    HA!

Oh trust me on the Rock Auto slam that it comes from experience.

The parts you ordered are off the shelf items not a specific thing like Brake calipers.

    I have ordered:
Headlights - Fit like shit and internals were crooked.
Corner lights - fitment was bad
    Grille - Fitment was bad.

    Should I go on?

I ended up buying all that stuff from the dealer as a higher cost but guess what.. yup. it all fit.

I am also not a fan of re-manufactured stuff

rock Auto does not sell any 50 state catalytic converters for my truck either. So they are a do not use in my book.

There are no advanced Auto around and from the sounds of it, thats a good thing.

Why not buy your filters at the dealer??

    Yeah.
I have a '77 Celica that I am rebuilding. Everything has been replaced except the rear axle, transmission and steering box. Other than the rebuilt engine, Weber carb, and electronic ignition upgrade, all the parts came from RockAuto. Not one problem.

Aftermarket lights and body parts are hit or miss regardless of where you get them. I got replacement headlights for my wife's '06 4Runner, and the TYC brand is pretty good. Not sure about the other budget brands. One arrived broken, and they sent me a new one without even having to return the original.

I wouldn't hesitate to order calipers from RockAuto. All 4 wheels on the Celica are working perfectly.

The only body parts I have ordered from Rock Auto has been tail lights and they have been fine...So as I understand it, you are unhappy with the aftermarket body parts from Rock Auto, but no experience in mechanical parts?

As for buying filters at the dealer, why should I make a 50 mile round trip pay dealer plus 10% local tax when I can normally buy the case at Discount Fleet Supply or individually at good prices from Rock Auto? I refuse to go to dealer and be abused for daring to buy factory parts...

I have been running Tundy's for a year now and don't notice any excessive travel. Then again, I was really anal about bleeding every last bubble from the lines, I ended up flushing out the whole system with new fluid. Those Tundra brakes are worth every penny, it's amazing how interchangeable some of the parts for Toyotas are, I freaking love it.
