Here's a pic of my old 98 SR5 4WD. I''m the original owner and just retired it to a woods ride after 200k miles. The rear end sags. I have bilstein 5100 struts upfront set on the middle setting. I'm sporting a solid bro lean now even though the pic may not show it. Thinking of getting a new 4 leaf pack from Wheelers. Good choice? My goal is to level it out or slight rake.

Secondly, I have 15 in rims and have always run 31 10.5 15 BFG's. I have manual hubs upfront. A friend just offered me his 17 in TRD wheels off of his 2011 taco. Should I jump on it? I'm thinking of increasing tire size, but not sure if it makes sense to jump to 17's. I've read that the offset is different on the newer taco rims and it may limit my tire width to 10.5. I would like to go to a 32 in AT tire but there are not many offered in the 15 inch category.

    Hey,

Which wheeler's springs are you planning on getting? I think they have options for stock height and 1.5-2 inches of lift. Either way, the springs are made by Alcan and will be a quality product. The only question is how they will compare to an old front spring preloaded to the middle setting on your 5100s... but that's adjustable too.

As for the 17s, I've never been a fan of a big wheel and lower profile tire for off road. The more sidewall you have, the more your tire can "key" to the terrain when you air down. This is why I'm running 33x12.5 r 15s. As Blackdawg put it "more floaty magoaty for me".
