Need New Rear Bumper

Well I went and F'd up my rear bumper. I was backing into a spot in a parking garage and didn't notice the wall had a 'step' in it so I creased my bumper. Its not bad, but its enough to piss me off. To add insult to injury, (literally) my wife began laughing.

Anyway, I'm looking to get a new rear bumper. Ive got a 2011 TRD Off Road DCSB 4x4. I was looking on Amazon and found this...

However it says it doesn't fit my 4.0L equipped truck only the 2.7L. Am I missing something? I thought they were the same.

Anyway, if anyone can clarify that would be awesome, or knows of a better place to get a cheap bumper. I would do a badass rear from one of the manufacturers on here, but alas, shipping to Puerto Rico would probably cost as much as the bumper itself.

Link says 4.0/2.7... whats the issue? Should be the same bumper. If you are really that worried about the crease I'd be wiling to sell you the bumper from my '14 TRD OR, for cheap +shipping. Dunno if that would be worth it if they charge and arm and a leg to ship to Puerto Rico?

 

Its weird because when I click the 'does this fit' it says it doesn't fit. Who knows, maybe its just Amazon being dumb. I just wanted to make sure there isn't some difference I didn't know about.

I'd be willing to take that bumper off your hands depending on price and shipping, PM inbound.

 

I think the "does it fit" is simply due to the plain black bumper not being standard equipment. I could be wrong, but as far as I know, all bumpers from 6 lug 2nd Gen Tacomas are interchangeable.

Good to know. Well I ended up finding a black primered bumper on carid.com for 220 shipped to PR. Guess its a good thing, now I can get it factory color matched. Thanks for the help guys.

 

Still have the bumper? I put a ding in my silver 2013 TRD sport bumper and am having a hard time finding a replacement. The chrome one would look all right I think. I live in Denver so shipping might not be too bad.

 

Yeah man, it's not even off my truck yet, my Pelfreybilt bumper will be here in about a month and a half I think. I am sure we can work something out.

 

I'll be selling my stocker too when my plate bumper FINALLY arrives.

 

Man I was looking for a black sand pearl bumper, not sure if those ones you guys are getting rid of are chrome or painted ? But I ended up getting it from the dealer paint $180 plus tax for it... I did same thing only it was a pole that jumped up and hit my bumper LOL... still have yet to get the bumper painted... Prob just wait till spring and when I get money for the paint job...

 

Haha that's the first company I looked at when I was gonna buy a new bumper. Those Pelfrey bumpers are beautiful, and the company is great to deal with. Unfortunately, They wanted 822 to ship, and 630 for the bumper. My wife would have lost it had I purchased it. I'm already in the dog house for the ICON's and LR UCA's.
