Need New Rear Shocks....14"-25"????????

    i need some new rear shocks that collapse to 14ish" and extend to 25ish" i cant seem to find any. i was going to go with 5125 but they collapse to 15ish" and i dont really want to loose any uptravel...any help guys??

    Bilstein 7100 10" short body shock... 255/70 valving... 14" collapsed, 24" extended...

    Part number AK7110SB

    Hit up Sonny at Downsouth Motorsports for pricing...

    Also order the bushings from the 5125s and use them in place of the heim mounts that come with the shocks...

    7100s are not as cheap as 5125s... hahahahah

    but, i am running 7100s on my truck and they have been great so far... they don't heat up since they have reservoirs...

    Bilstein 5125... 9" travel... 15" collapsed, 24" extended....

    limit your up travel 1" with an added bump...

    255/70 is pretty standard... 170/60 will be a bit soft and is more for dual shock set up...

    Mike, been seeing and hearing about a lot of failures of 51xx billies at the seal with hard use. The failures have occurred on relatively (a couple of wheelin seasons) new setups. Saw two BE5-6249 H5s today (on the same truck) that were leaking. Fitment doesn't appear to be the issue.

    Any ideas about what is happening? Are these model shocks just too "light duty" for 3500-4000 lbs rigs that spend a lot of time on the trail?

    The things required to pull bitches
    Im running the 7100 with resi 10" short bodies, valving is 170/60 Its pretty Soft and to me It feels perfect for how light the rear is. But if you do a cage and have more weight I'd go with 255/70

    it could be a bad batch of seals?

    TC LT Front, F67 on 12" shackle, LCE Underdrive Pulley, Flex-a-lite fan, DT headers, Super 44 muffler, 4:11's and Aussie Locker, 22 Gallon Fuel Cell, Beard seats, sliders, bed cage
    I run 7100 10" shoortbody w/ Resi's and love them as well.

    They generally can be found used for about 200.00 and are easy/cheap to rebuild. Thats what I did.

    I'm running the 9.24s with Downey leafs and 2"shackles,I want more up travel.but I needed to extend my bumps so I didn't bottom out the shock

    Thanks for the feedback. Not trying to ruffle feathers, just curious if others had seen this. I doubt that the Tacoma that had these has been used for anything except our tight, twisty, muddy, slow speed northwest trails.
