bought a 98 trd the other day and took it out on the trails. the factory skid got all bent up and when i got back home it was hanging on by one bolt. i found a beefier one on all pro but it bolts on to the bumper they make. https://www.allprooffroad.com/9504tacomatrailarmor not sure if i want to spend 500 on a bumper and 200 on a skid. id like some other opinions, maybe some links to comperable skid plates that bolt on without a bumper or a cheaper combo. i found some that do bolt on with the stock bumper but they look to small...

Look at Skidrow offroad. They make some nice heavy duty skid plates for Tacomas.
