Need new wheels and tires for 2004 pre-runner

Hi, first post here. I am a Tundra owner and coming over from the Tundra Forums. My 2019 Tundra is my main ride and I am saving it for towing my camper and going places.

This week I purchased a 2004 pre-runner taco from a friend who is moving to Greece. It has 211k miles but the price was $3500. It is going to be my work truck.

It has 265/75/16's on it currently and they are about done and one wheel is a bit bent and has a slow leak. I am find lots of cheap used wheels sets on FB marketplace. Many of the used wheel sets I am finding are 17's. What size tires will not rub with the 17 wheel set? This is a 2wd BTW.

Any recommendation on what tires to get? I am thinking the DT house brand goodyear AT's

 

265 70r 17 will be your comparible size to your current tires.

 

I found all 4 of these wheels off a 2017 for $150 on FB Marketplace. The dirt on them is just dust and wipes right off. The stocks are 16 and these are 17's but it should dress it up a bit and it will take care of the one wheel that is bent.

 

@IowaGuy that's a great deal on wheels. They should look nice on your new to you taco. Be sure to use the Toyota Mag lugs. The lug nuts you have on your truck now won't work.
