Stock backspacing on the 1st gens is 4.5". Need to know the width of the rim to calculate offset.

Offset would be +12 mm then for 4.5" backspacing.

Im looking at this wheel and theres 2 backspacing/offset available.

    17" x 8.5"
    20offset 5.54BS 6x139.7

    and
    17" x 8.5" 0offset 4.75BS 6x139.7

My truck will be riding withthe combo bilstein 5100/881 OME coils. The back will follow with the wheelers progressive aal and rear bilstein.
My question is what wheel will be closer to the flares.Dont want the wheels and tires to be inside too much, but dont wan them too far out either.

thanks and happy new year everybody.

Both of those wheels are going to sit further in than stock. Stock backspacing for 1st gens is 4.5".

FWIW the stock 16x7 alloys on 1st gens are +15 mm offset. It's stamped right on the rims.

Does anyone know if the 16x7 stock aluminum wheel off a 1998 T100 will fit on a 2002 Tacoma 2 wheel drive? I know that the lug nuts are shouldered on the T100 and I have lug nuts to fit. I have the stock 16x7 steel wheels on the Tacoma now. Both wheels are the 6 hole wheel. I can pick up a set of T100 wheels cheap and my steel wheels have some rust. Any help appreciated, thanks.
