I am looking to install a touch screen navigation stereo, on my 2010 Tacoma. do you think I should stick with stock stereo or go with the navigation?

Do you have the stock one now? If so, what about don't you like that makes you consider an aftermarket one?

If you don't have the stock navigation stereo, I'd probably recommend an aftermarket one. I don't know all the features of the stock one, but I would imagine you'd get more features from an aftermarket one. Plus you'll more than likely get way better sound too!

Check out the navigation units at Crutchfield.com to get an idea of what you're looking for in terms of price and features, then go to a local car audio store and play around with the ones they have on display.

You can snag a stock one somebody has pulled out of their truck for $400 to $500. Cheapest decent quality aftermarket one you can find is gonna run at least $600 to $700.

I'd say if you're keeping stock speakers with no plan to upgrade and sound quality isn't a major concern, I'd go with a stock unit. In fact I think there's a guy on here selling them for $450 or so. Pulls 'em out of trucks in junk yards I'm guessing.

well I decided to go with the after market, it was one of the best choices that I have made to my Tacoma. the sound quality is great. its like having a laptop it is amazing what technology does today.
