I'm trying to get prices on Toyota ball joints and tie rods for my 04 Tacoma dbl cab 4wd. I want to make sure I'm getting the correct parts. I've looked everywhere but can't seem to find the parts 4wd truck. Everything seems to be 2wd. Even the aftermarket stuff is bad. I have the parts list / diagram I download sometime ago but when I do an internet search for that 4wd part, it comes back as for 2wd. I feel like an idiot. Do I need new boots as well?

    Can anyone help.

Go to RockAuto.Com and drill down the list.

    "PreRunner" is equivalent to 4x4.
    "RWD" or "S-Runner" denotes 4x2 5-lug part.

For outer tie rod ends go for DEEZA Part # TYS604 (LH) and TYS602 (RH). For $25 each these are stronger than OEM and comes with grease fittings, so you can regrease them for longer life.

Lower ball joints are $50-$60. Go for the more expensive "professional grade" ones.

I'm looking for the Toyota part numbers so I can compare prices to other brands.

So far I've gotten the correct part numbers for Raybestos pro grade at their website.

The Toyota numbers are hard to find.
