I am looking to installing a ARB Safari snorkel on my 2014 DCSB with TRD supercharger installed. Currently I am running the stock air box, but am trying to research installing a snorkel. I am hoping to see some pictures of someone's engine bay, showing how the snorkel is tied into the supercharger intake. Plus I have a dual battery setup and want to make sure I don't need to move anything around to integrate the snorkel.

Any knowledge would be appreciated, but I would be very grateful for some pictures as well.

    Cheers!

I believe there is some incompatibility with certain snorkels and supercharger, depending on the brand of snorkel. Some do not flow enough air for the supercharger to reach full boost, restraining the power of the supercharger. I believe one member was seeing 3psi of boost with the snorkel when it should have been 6psi of boost.

@Rock Lobster is all things supercharger. He may recall more.

I'm pretty sure the Expedition Overland Tacoma has a snorkel and is supercharged.

I am steadily increasing the level of difficulty in the off roading/overlanding trips. I thought it may help increase the lifespan of the s/c by having cleaner air supply. If I really needed a snorkel for water, I think I'd run into other issues.

Also note some snorkels are more restrictive than others.

Is there no one on TW that has a supercharger and snorkel?

There are, I recall having at least one member report low boost due to the snorkel. One that is confirmed to not be a restriction is Airflow America. I think the thread was over in the performance section.

Thanks I'll take a look. If anyone could tag some of said members, that'd be awesome.

It is, and it didn't have a single run condition issue in the many miles I spent behind the wheel. Prior to driving that I put 100+k on my 04' Tacoma w/SC and Snorkel, again zero issues.

Awesome that's what I'm looking for! Did X Overland use a Safari brand?

@cruiseroutfit Thanks a ton! My only other concern is routing the intake around my secondary battery location. I'm pretty sure it can be done, but it might take some extra work. If it simply hooks up to the stock intake location I should be fine. I'll definitely order through Cruiser Outfitters. Here's a pic of my dual battery set up, so you can see the limited room I have on the passenger side.

The snorkel comes into the engine bay in the exact location as the stock, so non-issue with your battery.
