    Hello Tacoma Community!!

I need your help; I have a 2005 TRD Sport manual 6 speed access cab Taco, I am a first time truck owner and this last year I have hit a deer and got into a few bumps here and there. I am looking for recommendations on parts and mods, I want to put some love into her!

I got replacement headlights and taillights from tacomabeast the brand is spyder, the taillights are fine and look cool. The headlights however didn’t work for more than a month, so my question here is, what kind of replacement bulbs should I get for them?

I am looking to replace the stock stereo with something modern that I can connect my android phone to, any recommendations for that would be awesome!!

Also looking for solid seat covers as the seats I have are taking some wear and tear.

At some point I’d like to invest in a grill guard for the front and also a better bumper for the back, any recommendations for those would be appreciated.

I am thinking about getting a lift kit as well, its not like I really need it but just an idea.

I would like to hear from you guys, I want to build up my truck and really make it something I’m proud to drive around, right now it’s a diamond in the rough. Thank you for your help!!!!

    Welcome!
This would be ALOT to cover in a single reply, but no one can give you a single reply with the answers you want, there are too many options for a majority of your questions. I'm not trying to be a jerk or scare you off the site but the search function is your best bet here. You will need to put in some work reading and looking at threads to ask more questions and then make an informed decision.
For example, there are multiple options for seat covers depending on your budget and use. Neoprene is recommended by many but can be on the warm side but they are one of the more expensive options, searches will show pics, etc and once you narrow down what you want, then ask for opinions.
Stereo, there is an audio portion on this site, budget is huge in this area, do you want car play, nav, etc, do some reading there and many have posted examples of their installs.
Lift kit, so many options, you can spend days researching this and you need to be educated before making this decision.
Same for bumpers, there is a wide spread of bumpers and prices.

Get rid of those cheap ebay lights and just get OEM. And don't be the guy that uses LED bulbs.

Leaf springs are almost always a necessary upgrade. Add-a-leaf's are overrated.

Look at Bilstien 5100's or Old Man Emu for relatively cheap and decent suspension upgrade.

Avoid grill/brush guards that typically only increase the damage to your truck in an accident.

Try and keep on top of the frame rust.

I'll try and answer what hasn't been addressed -

New stereo go check out crutchfield. com. I've used them three times now - twice for stereo upgrades in my vehicles and once a long time ago when I bought a stereo for the home. Incredible customer service. They will help you find exactly what you want better than anyone here.

Seat covers check out wet okole's. They are awesome, but a little pricy. You get what you pay for.

Spend some time looking at the forums. I recommend the "what have you done to your 2nd gen today?" It'll give you lots of inspiration. Check out the sticky threads at the tops of each forum- lots of tips tricks and mods.
