Just wait for Slimcubby to have a group buy on the ones that he has. They work awesome and come with their own wiring harness, the only thing they pull from the stock wiring is the on and off and hi beams. Best thing out there, he as it about once or twice a month. PM him and he will more then likely put you on the next group buy. There is even a thread on here on how to install them.

I recently installed DDM's H4 35w hi/low kit, with 6000k bulbs and H10's in my fogs. They are thebomb. Here is a bulb temp chart.[IMG]

H4s as well, all tacos (95.5-10) use H4 in the headlights.

Just looking on the ddm website and found that the Raptors now have a lifetime warranty and are 49.95 for the H4's...the ddm brand is 69.95...are reason to choose one over the other?

Smaller ballasts on the more expensive ones.

Slimcubby's GB is great, but you have to wait up to a month.

DDMTuning offers lifetime warranty on their HID conversion kits. Also, they are much cheaper. Why pay more for similar quality and no lifetime warranty?

What effect does the smaller ballast have or is it just a preference?

Smaller ballasts can fit in tighter areas. But, they also have controller boxes.

That guy with his subie could hve just had a bad kit. You can't give a company a bad review just because of a faulty product. What of I told you my friend's xenondepot HID kit blew within 3 months? Because they did.

He did say that you shouldn't by the DDMTuning kit just because of their price and lifetime warranty and the comparison of a Subaru's warranty vs. a kia's warranty. All HID kits from Asia are similar in parts, so why pay more?

Not trying to stirr up anything, just putting out some logic.

So I am going to extend this forum a little...I have a question about the DDM bulb temp colors. There is a lot of talk about the 4500k being a pure white (maybe a slight hint of yellow) and the 6000k being a great white with a slight hint of blue correct? Well how do the 5000k H4 bulbs look? Does anyone have any experience with these? To me it seems as if it would be the perfect medium for the brightest, whitest light.

Thanks for all the input about this DDM HID kit. I think I am going to pick one up for myself in the next few days :D

The color chart is the 3rd post up above on this page. It is very accurate.

5000K would be your ideal white. 4300K is going to be your optimal temp for best output.

I just got the H4 5000k set for my wife's Scion xB (test car before I decide color temp for my truck). Got it from DDM and got the Raptor kit since both they sell have a lifetime warranty now. The price for the Raptor kit was $64 shipped IIRC. I will post some pics when I get it done so you can see the color output. I hope there is not any problems because I really want to do this to the truck, just nervous as I have never done headlights before.

Awesome thank you! I can't wait to see the pics and hear what you think of the 5000k temp color. I go back and forth everyday between 4500-6000k and I have a feeling it will just be a last minute flip of a coin.
